one thing i am curious about (Phil?) is where the Plaza stop would be located.

That's further down the planning schedule. We didn't know the general stop locations for the current line until a year after the votes.

My guess would be a stop would be by the tennis courts.

imagine those poor souls having to walk from the tennis courts to umkc just to get to class

There will likely b another stop south of brush Creek by the end of the line.

I just thought about that. What about the elderly ppl having to cross traffic to get to Capital Grille? :frown:

I'd love to talk more about better pedestrian experience.

anybody got a couple of hours to spare?  i don't feel like driving my car and really need to get from the plaza to river market.

A) not everyone has a car or wants a car (I rarely drive to the plaza)
B) the max now takes 30 minutes - streetcar would be faster

so many private details about the proposed expansion being uncovered here, sly would not  be happy with this level of transparency

and yeah, i can't imagine not wanting to own a car unless i didn't have legs and couldn't press the gas

You also work downtown and live downtown. You're like the 1% of the KC population.

I understand that. I also understand not everybody can afford a car and still more don't want to hassle with owning a car even if they have the means.

SC talk always revitalizes this thread and it's much better than airport talk

When I was in my car already coming home from work.  :dunno: It'd be like 5:50 PM by the time I got there. Didn't want to lose motivation. You bet your ass I walked everywhere on the weekends. Nice try tho.

95% of the time I walked. It was thee biggest perk about living downtown. I'd drive to PAk with Clams during cat games and then Uber back. We even Uber'd to Chiefs/Royals games because it's cheaper, safer, and more convenient.

I literally had a run that went to the river market and then down to Penn Valley Park. It would be dumb to drive anywhere downtown.

Me too bud but I also understand not everybody can or will do that...hence the streetcar and bike share are great alternatives.

Love the bike share thing. That was fun. Especially going down to the bottoms.

 They made it around just fine before this was created, dummy. This isn't a game changer for them for a 2 mile radius. Also, it's the farmers market, bar, bar, bar, strip club, bar, bar, bar, crown center. I don't believe much of the in between stuff applies to those ppl you're so "concerned about", Phil.
Plus my "nothing I said is untrue" comment was towards this! Maybe check out the mhk townie thread or something.
