I saw a @Dlew look a like at Saints today at lunch with mom. It had to be a cousin or something. Identical good looking person.
there's a guy who works at Charlie Hustle who looks a lot like me -- probably him.  not related.

I don't think he named names but yeah it seems he is the big stick pushing around for the residents.

Yup. Same guy that has made my life miserable.

I have an email from him telling me that if I'm quoted in any of these articles he'll make sure I lose my license. I went ahead and forwarded that to my city council person. We're meeting with a city attorney next week.

I don't see how anybody is against this ordinance. One entity should not be able to play god

I don't get why Kansas city thinks they have to reinvent the wheel when it comes to these new "being a city" issues like bars vs residents in an urban neighborhood. There are literally hundreds of cities who have figured this out...

Yes. He very much does not realize how big of an issue this is. He really does think he's doing the right thing.

The biggest thing the blew my mind was that he wants to continue to dictate what businesses operate in a building after he's sold the property.

He definitely is. What really sucks is that he owns a lot of surface parking lots that he refuses to sell for development. Which is why the crossroads will never grow to anything more than what it is. One guy.

Existential question: is crane porn still crane porn if the crane is being used to build a parking garage?

thank goodness for jolie justus (4th district!)  while naysayers like phil totala talk smack on her, she represents the voice of the working man.
