Well I think now that KCPD is burdened by 85 less police officers we can expect big things!

So right away you have a 40 percent chance to get away with murder. I'll take those odds

What is the clearance rate for people who were murdered while being white.

Between a shitty baseball team, the Chiefs creating the first all women beater team in the NFL, the rail downtown, and now this! Time to scram, fellas.

it is a lot, like the article said- it's 8% of the department

for a city that's one of the most violent cities in the country, we're moving in the wrong direction as it relates to policing our city

but streetcar, downtown hotel, and billion dollar terminal

Subtract every one of those things from KCMO landscape... They never happened... we are in the exact same position.

that's not what attrition means.  also-

Quote
There were no raises.

- 100 civilian and 60 law enforcement positions were eliminated through attrition.

- Purchased half the number of vehicles they were slated to.

hey cops working in murder city, sorry no raises- but how about a high five, an atta boy, and an ice cream sandwich.

too bad our city government has spent so much time figuring out how to jam a billion dollar airport terminal and a downtown hotel down our throats instead of figuring out a way to pay our bills.  this is only the beginning, of course.

attrition = eliminating vacant headcount and not backfilling when someone leaves a job

Whatcha spending your extra KCI money on?

Take that sly! We win! Less flights, more bandaid fixes with money that could have been used for a new KCI... Its the KCMO way!
