I can't stand driving downtown as it is now. So many dumbasses who don't know where they are, what's a one way, buses, ppl walking the streets, parking, etc. When it's cold, I drive to Cosentinos, & sometimes it can be a long process. I swear there's been a concert at the Midland every day for the last two weeks too. I can't wait for it to get nice out.

There will be no HJ's, unless you're counting the bums masterbating in the streetcars.

Tell that to the babe who's rolling from the Skrillex concert at Midland and just wants to make it to new Cashew (whatever concept it's going with), and she locks eyes with RS2K... Game. Over. Thanks for playing. HJ's on lock.

is the kc streetcar going to have a dedicated lane?

No

So this thing is going to eff traffic up even more than a bus?

Since KC doesn't have any traffic, that doesn't seem like much of a concern. Use Baltimore and walnut which are now two ways the length of the route if worse comes to worse.

Tough to say other than the ease of jumping on and off without paying. Seems free and easy down the road I go.

Bus sounds like a pain with times/stops/paying. Oh, times particularly going late. Then there's my complete lack of understanding of the bus routes... I know damn well where the streetcar is going every time I jump on. (I realize that could be easily fixed by probably a quick google search)

Silver lining tho.  the only reason it's hard to drive is because there's so much activity downtown right now.

Sorry to hear that. Expansion to UMKC will be a big step in lessening the "silly" feeling people have  IMO.

I think it makes a lot of kc folks outside of that area feel better about their inferiority complex.

To be fair thousands live in the TDD, they just didn't vote... And that 300 more than voted for the plaza TDD or the Ameristar TDD that pays for parking lots using sales tax on all purchases in those locations.

I mean, when a group of people scream that they need public transportation but are too snotty to demean themselves to ride a (gulp) bus...I don't know whether it's an inferiority complex but it's certainly something.

Yeah, is there a list of real tangible benefits this line will provide to the city?
