runs through charlotte hornets stadium, a college, a hospital and a huge park

runs through tulane, business district, french quarter (very popular tourist destination)

theres just not enough people to use our street car because it doesnt run through popular destinations or through heavily populated areas. sure, it runs through the most dense part of town during a week day when everyone commutes in from the suburbs, but thats about it.

I'm hoping the streetcar works on its own, but it's more of a downtown circulator.  will be more practical once light rail begins running to the suburbs.  once this occurs, downtown workers can legitimately commute to work without a vehicle.

we're each offering our opinion about a decision made by a city in which neither of us live.

on its own it may seem pointless.  but the whole idea is to have feeder lines tie into Union Station.  gotta start somewhere - we've been talking about better mass transit for decades.  every year the downtown population and traffic grows.  it's only a matter of time.

is it a coincidence that Streetcar Named Desire in Crown Center closes next month?  this town just isn't big enough for 2 streetcars, it's maddening.  UGH!

i think i will do more exploring of river market establishments once this thing gets going. maybe i'll see if cellar & loft is as shitty as its name suggests

Yeah I've considered condos in river market now because of this sexy sreetcar.
That's probably where Ms. Wacky and I are going next. Just sucks tho, because a lot of places down there aren't pet friendly, unless it's a cat. I mean, lol at having a cat as a pet.

Yeah what's up with that? Why does River Market hate dogs? Almost makes me hate the River Market. But that combo plate at Habashi House keeps drawing me back.
Not sure, I swear 2/3 of the places down there are rent controlled tho, so they have unique rules. We've already started looking for dog friendly places down there, because when her dog goes, i'm going to get us a bigger, cooler, dog.

i really want to live downtown or in river market, but i think i'm just way too lazy to take care of a dog in that kind of a situation.
