I will vouch for RJ's breakfast/brunch as well. Good stuff.

While we're on the topic of Mission, Sully's just down Johnson Drive is a surprisingly fun place to hang out if you live in the area and are just looking for a low-key night. Shuffleboard, darts, foosball, and lots of folks in their 20's and 30's.

had i known it was gluten free, i would have never ordered it.#teamgluts

Why does the fact that some people physically can't eat certain foods without risking pain and permanent damage to their digestive tracts cause you to avoid foods that those people can safely eat even if you enjoy those foods? :dunno:

because that crap doesn't happen, unless you are 0.7% of the population. it's a stupid rough ridin' fad, and the quicker it's over, the quicker permanent damage to my digestive tract will stop in having to listen to these whiny fucks talk about the disease they really don't have.

making an allergy trendy? it's happening right here in america, and i, for one, will not stand for it.  :nono:  :don'tcare: <--- don'tcare? more like gtfoomf with your bullshit malady, i says

anyways, when's the waterslide of doom open?

I volunteer time at the Austin Celiac Center, and attitudes like this need to stop.  Are there a lot of people who adopt a gluten-free diet for non-medical reasons?  Sure there are.  That fad, though, has a very positive externality for those who have been diagnosed with Celiac, because it leads to more gluten-conscious restaurants.  It wasn't long ago that a Celiac (Celies, for short) had very few choices when it came to dining out.  You may think it's fun to be smug about it, but know that a large number of those who you are blank-insulting really have no say in the matter.  It's a very humiliating thing to be taunted for following the ONLY treatment available for your medical condition.  Believe me, Celies don't like it when non-celies evangelize a gluten-free diet based on pseudo-science, because they know ignorant folks will needlessly cast aspersions in their direction for it.

Disclaimer:  I do not have Celiac Disease and I do eat gluten.

a canadian co-worker at a restaurant i worked at in college loved to spit in the gluten-free orders. it was hilarious then and has only gotten better with time. eff the diets of non-red-blooded americans/europeans.
