How does one sign up for the mafia tours?

Are those real?  I've only seen that fox 4 news story while being pak'd in the back of a cab...kind of thought they were only a dream.

Hey clams/wacky, need some help here.

GF just moved down to Rivermarket area and I need some good insidery tips about cool places/things to do down there. I'll list everything I know and you guyz can tell me what I don't know.

-Farmers Market in summer, duh
-Had some drinks at harry's CC one time after work, was pretty neat.
- always heard good things about caddyshack pizza but I got it the night she moved in and it was "meh"
-Had breakfast at city diner, "meh"

Alright guyz, take it away.

First insider'y tip is don't be scared on the MAX.  Until the streetcar gets built it's a great way to get from RM to other downtown neighborhoods like Crossroads and get the full benefit of downtown living.

River Market proper?  Market 3 for quick grocery/food things, Minskys, Farmhouse as mentioned.  Happy Gillis and paldolfi's in Columbus Park just to the east are both great.  Bridge over the river to get down to river front park is good once it gets warmer.    The wine store owned by Kennison is great stuff.

Thanks guyz! I love me some gyro's so I will try that place out and give Farmhouse a shot for breakfast.

Zaina is better IMO.

Of all the restaurant week places in the city, I haven't been to the following, which should I hit?

(new) Corner Restaurant, Osteria IL Centro*, Providence, Room 39, Westport Cafe & Bar.
*Probably be my choice, not sure how I haven't been here

Lot of great ones on the list...

RM is your neighborhood...I'm in Quality Hill/Garment District.  I'm just a downtown lifer/dork and your hood rocks.

It's like .5 mile though!!!  Easy walk....streetcar will def make the downtown neighborhoods feel more connected.

They will regret that in the future...I spent one year in Lenexa after coming back from Manhattan and I still regret it.  Where do they hang out down there, Saints?

They annoy me, for the simple fact my bff use to live down here and I always hung out out with him down here on the weekends. They live at 135th and 119th st. They all work at farmers so it makes sense. We go to barleys and talk of the town down there.

i mean, to each his/her own, but i don't get why a single post grad would want to live anywhere outside of between river market and 85th

I don't understand why you'd go south of ward parkway.

As long as you are north of Troost you're good.
