Like if you're from not the area/foreign I get their confusion. Every time I'm abroad I just default to "I'm from Kansas City" even when I lived in OP (who is going to know that). And people immediately hear Kansas and latch into that, whether it be from the wizard of Oz or just know Kansas is a state in the US. To then add that layer of "there are two of them and one is in Missouri and in general everything you know about KC is the n Missouri" just effs with them so much it's almost not worth diving into it.

It's like this towns that are split between Belgium and the Netherlands where it's all haphazard and to an outsider it's weird and if you had one be named "Belgium City" but most was in the Netherlands and you tried to explain that to anyone else it's going to come off as difficult/weird af

But I mean, crap like this exists all over central Europe.
My winning smile and can-do attitude.

MO I assume? I've heard the early voting lines were nuts. KS mail in rules so I always just do that. There is also a voting spot near my house and I saw like 3 cars in the lot when I took the kids to school. People must have really wanted to vote early this year. Maybe this will help get it all settled faster. (wishful thinking)

yes, KCMO. I think KCMO has a lot of polling places, and mine was very well staffed, but i was still surprised at no line. it was like this in 2020 also. very convenient for me to just walk down the street also!

For a red state, KS has lots of options that make voting very easy which is surprising. I do mail in so I can have the ballot before and look at it longer, but there is usually very little wait at my polling spot regardless. Glad its going quick in MO.

That tracks SS7.  Got to my polling place in Columbus Park at about 6:50am and left at about 7:45.  Actual voting took less than 5 minutes.

the proposed quarter billion dollar development at 9th and grand street would be a great thing

Will Frank White be able to make money off of it? If not, i'm skeptical it happens.
