I'm trying to think of stuff along the river that's east of the river market area.

That's funny because we actually walked around down there recently when it was nice. Are they trying to get something going in that area? That giant sorta weird apartment complex and walking areas. I will go jogging there this spring.

Yeah the riverfront park has been there awhile but mostly unused apart from homeless sexing that wacky experienced in that weird brush area between the pedestrian bridge and the park itself.

The apartments are new and they have 3 additional housing projects planned down there. The streetcar is a portkc desire to help connect the area. I'm still neutral on that whole thing. I like the park area I'm not sure housing was the right choice down there though.  The pedestrian bridge along grand viaduct that is planned would help.

Walking down by the river and around those old bridges and such actually isn't bad when the weather is nice. If you have a dog it's great because there is tons of space. I'm not sure what the overall plan is though. It needs some shops/bars/restaurants or some sort of activities to attract any sort of crowd long-term.

I also think there was some sort of volleyball league playing their games there last summer. So that's something.

Yeah I like the recreation idea and adding more to the volleyball courts. The dog bar is a cool idea.  I believe there is another bar concept planned. I love the idea of some booze drinks watching barges and driftwood float by (serious).

I like running down there but wish they would beat down the brush between ped bridge and the park proper. Be a cool place to let some artists do sculpture art.

YES. There is still tons of landscaping to be done. I understand it's a big area. There are a couple historic bars/buildings around there that can be incorporated. Def down for some drinks and a barge. I will try out volleyball down there this summer and see if anything has changed.

Mooring a bar barge to the side of the bank would be awesome.

It's 1.3 miles wacks. I'm impressed with your walking ability!
It’s 1.3 miles from that Chinese place in the river market where the street car runs through to BarK (It’s not)? Either way, you want to expand to the middle of rough ridin' nowhere where bums eff openly?

I plugged it into Google maps. It would be shorter if you could walk the grand Ave overpass but that's a death wish without sidewalks and blind corners.

I don't want to do anything, as I've posted multiple times in here I'm not convinced it's a good idea.

Ppl don’t ride the street car for transportation. They ride it so they can tell ppl they rode it. Last December, Mrs Wacky and I did this remarkable thing. We made it to BarK with Gator without using the 1 mile Choo choo train.
