Spent 3 days there about 7 years ago, and the only city I've been to that I would consider more beautiful is Sydney Australia.

At first I thought this may have been a bit extreme, but in terms of natural setting combined with the layout of the city, it's definitely valid. Especially for cities of its size and larger.

SLC seems like a fine place to move to if you have a family but not so much if a single guy.

he currently lives in Wichita

they're no Oakland, that's for sure

I have been there about a dozen times. My biggest complaint would be the Mormons. They're fuckin weird. If you like to ski, then you're in luck. Eight ski resorts within an hour drive.

The weather isn't terrible down in the valley. Way less snow. It gets to 100 in the summer, but no humidity.

Salt Lake is better than Oakland in some ways, worse in others.

What dies Tobiasbro say about the inversions?  Heard it was pretty bad this winter.

dunno, he doesn't seem to ever bitch about it.  main thing he complains about is smuggling good/full strength beer from wyoming, but I think he overblows that.  moved there single and is married to a non-magic undies wearer, has a good social life, etc.  don't think he'll ever move.

also, impossible to get lost there, if that's a problem for you

Thanks for the feedback goEMAW.  I knew I could count on you.

I have a family, so not worried about single guy issues.

I have been to SLC once (2010 Swt 16/E8 games) but was actually near Park City most of the time.  Didn't really get a chance to see much if SLC but did like it.  I love outdoor activities and previously considered a job in Cheyenne just for that reason.  Didn't get the job, so didn't have to decide.  SLC is much better than Cheyenne so it seems like a no-brainier.

Mrs tdaver is concerned about proximity to family now that we have kids.  I'm really only concerned with not seeing my KSU Q@TS play.  That was one of the biggest pros for me when we moved back to ks.

do it, it will be good for your family IMO. Moving from KC to Michigan was one of the best things that ever happened to me, because of the distance.

You can watch almost every cats game if you want pretty easily.
