Shallots are great and have their place. I use at least 3 heads of garlic a week.

I don't use as much garlic as Cire, but whenevs I use a recipe that calls for garlic I usually up the garlic called for 50% to 100%. Also, I very lightly sautee shallots and put them on a smoked ham, sharp chedd, Soft Rye sandwich and grill it on the stove top. rough ridin' fantastic.

Rye, as everyone knows, is the grossest of all the breads.
