I like to see tourist stuff too. Like, places people say are too touristy. I enjoy most of them.

Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf in SF. Great chowder and seafood, great views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and the Bay, the Sea Lions are adorable, there's a museum of old ships and a museum of old arcade games that are both free, plus you can ride the cable car back to Bart/Union Square. (Cable cars are easily my favorite touristy thing to do in SF).

Pisa, Italy is bullshit

Agreed.  Took train, bus, saw it, made sure we made the very next train back.

is this a thread where you go out of your way to say you went somewhere or you were somewhere and so you decided to hit some places up?

I went to a Mary Kay meeting once to impress a girl. :gocho:

You better have scored for that.

And that means pussy and not some metro manly lotion of some sort that you got for like half off.

Do yourself a favor and go eat at Cochon Butcher one day for lunch.  A little out of the way but certainly worth it.

Red Light district in Amsterdam.  I've always wanted to say I've been there and did it for that reason.  Strangest thing I saw there was "normal" looking families with kids walking around.

A good example is Four Corners Monument. There is no reason to go there other than to take a stupid picture of you straddling 4 states to say you've been there. It's on Indian land and all these little shacks are set up around the monument hawking jewelry and stuff. Depressing.

But an interesting side note. The Indians drink, drive, and litter so much that the sides of the highways in that region literally sparkle in the sunlight from all the empty bottles. It's kind of beautiful.

I'm a big "collector" of destinations, but its usually for my own enjoyment, not to brag about to others. But I will probably visit Antartica one day just to be able to tell people I've been to all seven continents. Otherwise, can't see why I would want to freeze my ass off to see some penguins.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.
