Discounting Waters is silly, because I want him to be great. But I want Sams to start. He's shown flashes of brilliance. And he's great on twitter and in interviews. I've said this before, but along with winning games, being entertained by the players and coaches is the second thing I want. Sams is already making that happen, so I will root for him.

I dont really care who starts at QB, as long as its a stud. However, if Waters wins the spot it will make me very sad if Sams' talent is wasted on holding a clipboard. Dude is a special athlete and I really want him on the field fulltime.

We have never been able to run the ball vs good defenses without a great threat at QB.  This year was a painful lesson in this - after CK got the sketti brains vs OSU we really struggled to run vs TCU and Oregon.

I know Waters ran a little in juco but I see a return to the pre Bishop style of offense if he is the starter and I am afraid of the effect on our D.

God i'm so excited that gE is back to football speculation!! Hobby sport was fun but it's time to return to the moneymaker!! I doubt the spring game will answer many questions about the QB battle. Knowing Snyder, we'll likely be speculating all summer...
