I imagine what's happening is that Currie is putting this out there so he can extend oscar and pay him more just to eff us even more.

Eh. Some silver linings if his salary does go up. It'll put more pressure on oscar to produce consistently to justify his pay raise and it will signal to other coaches that we'll pay serious money for our next hir---eff, I can't do this.

Seems like it's started by angry KSU fans. We are stuck with Weber unless Currie takes a job somewhere else and the new AD wants to clean house. That's more likely IMO than Weber, SLTH, leaving after one year.

Not buying that anyone unhappy with oscar would be happy with Hoiberg equivalent.

I love Hoiberg. I think the people unhappy with oscar because of yesterday wouldn't be happy with Gottlieb, though. But those people are kind of stupid and don't count.

You realize you're talking about 99% of this board, right?

Yeah, let's just say ucla wants oscar;  I am undrr the assumption oscar is too rough ridin' stupid to take that job.

The reality is that someone better has to be in ucla's list and that someine isn't a dumbass and will take the job (pastner?).

We are stuck with oscar's dumbass.

Are you Jay Price?  I think you are.  Anyways, you're rough ridin' stupid and my guess is ugly (especially if you're jay price).  The people unhappy with oscar aren't unhappy with oscar JUST for this game.  and that was the point.  but carry on defending your butt buddy, jay.

oscar did just win a conference championship.  There's probably some interest in him out there, but not many places he'd leave here to go to.  He'd be happy to retire here.

Why are people saying oscar has interest from UCLA? Is that a real thing?

We're talking UCLA. No, they aren't going to hire rough ridin' oscar Weber. Duke, North Carolina, Kentucky or Indiana aren't either.

Is this based on the assumption that ADs always make what you believe to be good decisions?

I am using it as a strawman to show up the "KSU fans should be really happy with Weber!"

He should LOGICALLY be a candidate for the job.  Just won a confy title at a good but not elite school (i.e. a stepping stone school), won COY in a top 3 confrenece, got a 4 seed, etc.  A guy with that performance, and his resume of a national title game, should automatically be a hot name for a top 5 major program.  But no, he is good enough for little KSU, not for a real program.  It illustrates what everyone REALLY thinks about oscar and that they are hypocrites.

So you're going to equate the KSU program with the other programs mentioned?  Next you'll be saying our football program is in the same league as USC, Alabama or Oklahoma. I'm all for supporting my Cats but lets be realistic.

What is our success rate for predicting who gets hired for coaching jobs?  I'm not sure I have much confidence in our expertise on these decisions.

Revising my grade - B+ no way he keeps an A after the last 5 games.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

rough ridin' Currie would probably hire Lowry, or whatever the loser's name is.

Yeah, because what he should really do is hire a talk show host with zero coaching experience.

Do you have some crap to eat, or would you like some provided to you in a bucket?

The College of Charleston boards are awash with relief.
