It's hard to say on actual money, I am more interested in the model.

Probably the best one going before it got busted was ku's Ticket Scalping slush fund, it's just a shame so many had to go to Federal Prison over that, but major props to them for talking the NCAA out of getting involved. That situation pretty much runs neck and neck with UNC convincing the NCAA that the African American Studies non class classes weren't an NCAA violation, but an instutional academic issue.

Yes, quite a few people won't get into my bracket pool at work because "their wildcats" didn't even make the tourney.

Some were on suicide watch this morning because they lost in the first round of the NIT.

But Cal is the one who beat you by doing things his way, thus destroying your point. Actual results vs hypotheticals. He basically took a year off from being good because he could. Next year UK will dominate again. It's sickeningly beautiful.

Knight model would require Currie's agreement or inaction, which makes this a low probability outcome. Nothing wrong with kicking the tires of the UK model, though.
