Worst Company in America
« on: March 19, 2013, 01:43:21 PM »
Last year, the winner of the Worst Company in America tournament was Electronic Arts. Who do you think makes the final four this year?

I don't think enough people even know who Monsanto is to put them in a bracket like this for small timey website. In my mind, the front runners for the final four are probably EA, Bank of America, Carnival, and Comcast.

I would vote for them, but I imagine butthurt video game players would still vote EA over them.

That's a mumped up bracket.  They put competitors too close to each other, IMO.

Paypal is owned by ebay, or visa versa.  So like settling fraudulent ebay stuff is a real PITA.  Almost always they settle with the vendor since they are of more value to ebay than the customer.

I'm fascinated by Monsanto hate. Like, almost as much as by gentrification. Not quite, but IT IS REALLY CLOSE!

Yes, I was disappointed by that. I really think they were probably just thrown in there to make Spirit look worse. Spirit is going to get like 90% of that vote most likely.

yeah, tons of rubes get butthurt about airlines and their delays and whatnot. mainly because people are rough ridin' idiots. AA and United would probably be number 1 seeds in my Best Boss Stud Company bracket. Spirit probably legitimately deserves to be on the list though.

Did they just randomly choose 64 companies in the S&P 500?

You could make the argument this bracket is for the most successful company in America.

I think they just chose the companies people bitch about the most.  :dunno:

When EA stops ruining the video game industry, screwing their customers and destroying franchises, people will stop hating them

Well, they are associated with 11 Superfund sites. That's pretty impressive given that the company who will probably end up winning makes video games and pisses off video game players. This "Monsanto is evil and owns your soul" line of thought is pretty over the top, though.
