I'm fascinated by Monsanto hate. Like, almost as much as by gentrification. Not quite, but IT IS REALLY CLOSE!

People who don't hate them are either misinformed, uninformed, employees, or just rough ridin' stupid

Did they just randomly choose 64 companies in the S&P 500?

You could make the argument this bracket is for the most successful company in America.

Also, JCP, Sears, and Best Buy will probably all be bankrupt within 10 years, so I wouldn't say that every company on the list would be on a bracket for most successful company in America.

Shouldn't HSBC be on there and also be predicted to win?

It's a British company, so I think that disqualifies it.

Oh my bad.  I saw about 7 Chinese companies on there and thought it was a multi-national tournament.

On another note, don't ya think Walmart is like the Duke of this tourney?

Always there, makes deep runs, and is hated by almost everyone.

Looks like Time Warner (79%), Walmart (58%), and DirecTV (56%) are moving to round 2.

Walmart is a million times better than Best Buy. I rarely go to Walmart, but outside of the people who usually shop there its not that bad.

People just love hating on Walmart. It should move past those other retailers fairly easily. I don't think people hate Walmart nearly as much as the banks, though.

Quote
Did you hear about the plot to rig global interest rates? The $137 million fine for bilking needy schools and cities? The ingenious plan to suck multiple fees out of the unemployment checks of jobless workers? Take your eyes off them for 10 seconds and guaranteed, they'll be into some crap again: This bank is like the world's worst-behaved teenager, taking your car and running over kittens and fire hydrants on the way to Vegas for the weekend, maxing out your credit cards in the three days you spend at your aunt's funeral. They're out of control, yet they'll never do time or go out of business, because the government remains creepily committed to their survival, like overindulgent parents who refuse to believe their 40-year-old live-at-home son could possibly be responsible for those dead hookers in the backyard.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I don't see how they are any worse than any other cable or satellite provider. :dunno:
