also, for the beer people, go to Public House at Venetian (not at Luxor, not the same Public House)

P.U.B. in Crystals is pretty good for this too...although I think their food sucked.  Sorry Todd.

their food is good. I go to the PUB every time we're in vegas.

Went when it first opened and it was dog food.  Literally walked out and ate at China Poblano instead.  I was shocked.  Have to give it another shot.

Julian Serrano right around the corner is also great.

Just a follow-up on our hoops trip in Vegas...

We went to Harrah's- for $90 we got unlimits coors/miller light, breakfast buffet (donuts and coffee), lunch and dinner buffet (pizza, hot dogs, veggies, queso and a few other smaller things) and then exclusive lines for sports betting. It was in a conference room probably about 3 times the size of the Alumni Center ballroom and had tables with 10 seats around them and they had 8 projection TVs total on 3 different walls around the room. They would take turns alternating between the audio on each game so if a game was close we all got to watch and listen.

Overall I'd say I would do it again, we drank beer from about 10 am until 7 pm and ate plenty of crappy food. The lines to place bets were about 10 minutes long at the most packed time and the atmosphere was pretty cool. People were clearly cheering for La Salle and K-State in the room even though they weren't a fan of either team.

I'm sure there are better places to go and when we go back next year we'll probably try one of them, but this wasn't a bad option by any means. The lines to place bets weren't long at any of the places we went but it was hard to get a seat. You could tell people had camped out from early in the morning to watch. The Mirage has a pretty sweet sportsbook, and the Rio has a cool night club but is otherwise pud in every other aspect. Stay on the strip and if you're under 25 and like hot babes, stay at the Cosmo. Place was crawling with honeys.

Didn't see any goEMAWers although we saw plenty of cats fans :(

I would definitely do Harrah's again.  It was the most fun just because you were surrounded by hundreds of other fans of other teams that all had money on every basketball game.  Made for a fantastic atmosphere.  I'd entertain other ideas, but between the all you can eat food and the all you can drink Miller Light (extra hoppy), that was an awesome time and way worth it.

Also, SabiNation and I learned that Indiana fans are a tid bit racist.

They were playing a drinking game in the middle of the room for their game where you drink anytime a white person scores or a guard rebounds. You finish your drink when a non starter white person gets subbed in. A few Wisconsin fans seems to really enjoy it  :dunno:

Indiana is more than a tad bit racist. Easily the most racist state north of the mason-dixon. Its like Kentucky without black people.

Indiana fans are terrible redneck hicks.  They are also a very, very unattractive lot.  Really ugly student body.

Yeah this should prob happen.

The only debate is weekend (NFL weekend) Vegas or midweek Vegas.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I’m already planning on going to the game in Austin and was probably going to the game in Vegas too. Talked to a few people about it already
