If past results were always an accurate predictor of future results, sports would be amazing boring and not at all worth watching.

Ever watched a KU/K-State game?

I'm having a hard time with the point here, would appreciate some help.

3-47

were we favored in any of those?

was missouri?

Missouri has a dogshit record against them over that time, too. so did everyone in the world.

Missouri has a dogshit record against them over that time, too. so did everyone in the world.

over their last 50 games, 16-34.  MU was ranked higher than KU during that stretch 3 times.  They mustered up the sack to win 1 in 3 (once every 2 years), we've mustered enough to win 1 every 16 (once every 8).  We're beyond pathetic.

It's more embarassing to play the game than it would be to petition the conference to have those games forfeited every year.

missouri has had better teams than us over that timeframe

Sure, MU was better.  MU went to the tourney 15x during that time period (89-12), we've gone to 10 (including this year).  The unexplainable disparity still exists.

It's a mental thing because our dumbass fans put so much damn pressure on them to win the game. I'm surprised they aren't having anxiety attacks on the court.

I don't give a crap about Kansas as we won't see them for the rest of the season. I'm not sure why some of you still do.

Missouri never completely gave up on basketball for about 15 years.

We did.

A Wisconsin thread devolves into a KU cry fest. Kansas City posters are easy to spot. Sorry about work tomorrow, bros. Just fire all of the squaks who run their mouths, you can find more housekeepers and mail clerks.

Don't be silly.  KU is simply the most obvious example of "past results being an accurate predictor of future results.". 47-50 or whatever speaks clearly for itself.

But, I suppose if the KU example makes you butthurt, it's just as easy to instead use our predictive dominance over Texas in all major sports.  Some teams/programs simply have a mental edge over other teams/programs.  I can't explain the statistical fact as to why we own Texas harder than any school in the Big XII, but I can tell you we have owned Texas and will continue to own Texas and in this case past results have been a clear indicator of future results.

Texas Christian University coach Gary Patterson has been hired as Kansas State's 34th football coach, multiple sources have confirmed to GoPowercat.com.  Patterson replaces Ron Prince, who was fired Wednesday. - Tim Fitzgerald   Nov, 7, 2008

you're 100% wrong.  well, almost. Our past "ownership" of Texas has as much effect on the future as ku's or Wisconsin's "ownership" of us. that is, none.

Go on...

What's wrong, the owning Texas part or the some teams/programs having a mental edge part?

Back to topic, I guess Wisconsin played very good basketball in their conference tourney. I also assume they're going to out-size our 4 guard lineup by a significant margin. But is the disparity as big as it was the last two times we played them?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

I hope Marshall Henderson takes a giant Slim Shady dump on them and jersey pops his way into a strip club in KC and misses the game vs us due to "flu-like symptoms."

2 wins is not enough to provide a mental edge; your sample size is way too small. I would say Wisconsin matches up very well with Frank Martin's type of play before I would say they have a mental edge on K-State.

Wiscy matches up well vs everyone. Slow tempo, fundamentally sound, good D, can shoot the 3...that's every conceivable way to stay in games vs more talented teams.

Don't bother with logic and common sense, we have trends, curses, and the tooth fairy.
