honestly, i care little about either.  both are nice to talk about, etc.  but neither holds a candle to just old-fashioned winning a meaningful game.  a regular season big 12 conference win against missouri is more fun than charting tourney advancement or league trophs.

i think the most funnest period of kstate bball i've experienced was the post colorado run of pullen's sr year.  i don't care to analyze why.



btw, i detest the media figures that try to direct the national conversation towards the idea that college bball is only meaningful in march.  the conference regular season is the beating heart of college bball, and those that don't understand that don't understand college athletics.

the elite 8 run was fun because of the meaning and play.  And I enjoyed the run of basketball after fort hays until missouri in '10 just a touch more than pullen's run.

the xavier game was incredibly fun.  the byu and butler games were also enjoyable.  i don't mean to suggest that winning tournament games, or winning games that contribute to championships isn't fun.  my point is just that each game is a fun unto itself.  the cumulative accomplishments achieved by linking the individual games is of little import, at least to me.

For me, 2006-07 and 2007-08 were the most fun seasons. They were erratic and ended with a wimper, but I had never experienced a season where K-State was relevant in the Big XII, and it was an absolute blast.

That Xavier game was honestly the best game I have ever seen by any team.

Also, for my money, pullz and denis blowing crap up can't be beaten for giddy enjoyment.  Insane guard play with dom crushing crap on transition...... my God.....

Xavier is the best K-State basketball game I've ever watched. Maybe the best K-State sporting event period.

And Denis, Jake, Curt in 10 were a lot of fun to watch.

Each season has enough uniqueness (in the post Woolmanbury era) to be a lot of fun.

That game in KC against OSU, man, that ranks pretty high on the fun level, maybe the tops. Xavier was fun afterwards, gut wrenching during.

Last years games were miserable to watch. Like watching my sisters children play soccer miserable.  stfu you iddiot.

This season has been really fun, but it's been hurt by the lack of competition.

We replaced would have been fun wins against a decent Missouri team with blowouts against the worst team in the history of the Big XII TCU.  And replaced fun games against a decent Colorado team with extra games against awful Sand Aggie and UT teams.

Also would be more fun to get more ESPN/media love.
