No Jake = crime.

But, Beasley?  Yes, he is solely responsible for the turnaround.  But, hanging a 1-and-done seems embarrasing/kstateo to me.  do other schools do this?

It will never happen for Beas unless he graduates from K-State. Which will never happen. It's the same reason Bishop wasn't in the last Ring of Honor class.

Bish not being in the Ring of Honor is even more Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) than Beas not being retired.  Graduation hasn't meant a damn thing for some time now.

Also, Belvis, I couldn't care less what other schools do.  Beas is it.  If you like our bb program, or have liked it in the last 5 yrs, its because of Beas.

Beas is it.  agree.  but, we all care what other schools do.  gives us context.  That's how we know when something is truly kStateo - we look at how other schools and fanbases perceive us.  It's human nature.

Hanging Beas jersey just highlights how rough ridin' awful our basketball program was.  Wouldn't it kind of be like hanging a Royals banner for going 86-76?

I dunno.  I guess I'd like to see a beasley jersey.  but, the dude was on campus for like 9 months and will never be back.  can see both sides.

Attention all one-and-done 'cruits.  Come play here, kick ass for a year, tweet with some ladies that are single AF, then get your jersey retired if you live up to your hype.

KSU: Now featuring rich walk ons who need buds/roommates.

Seems like a pretty good sales pitch.

Has MB even been back since 2008? He strikes me as one of those types that would say his elementary school during player intros on TV (like on SNF). No connection to K-State. Has been a bust in the NBA. Who GAF?

He's not exactly a recruiting tool. "Come play at K-State...We've produced NBA all-stars like Rolando Blackmon, Mitch Richmond, and MICHAEL BEASLEY."

Texas retired Kevin Durant's Jersey like a year or 2 after he left. Was a bit of a hot button issue when it happened if i remember correctly.

But even he put Beas on.

Oh man, how awful would it be if the Heat trade Beasley and then end up winning the Champship?

Also, is this party gonna be on ESPN3 or anything/

Jake should have been retired on his senior night like that chick baller.

rough ridin' crime it hasn't happened yet regardless of Jake's schedule.

Has any one player done more for KSU basketball than Jake?  Beas, probs, but no one else in several decades.

Its a rough ridin' atrocity that they retired the women's jersey before she was done using it.  So so dumb

Don't be stupid. If they did the same for Mike or Jake you wouldn't have the same take. She was the best player in the history of the program, why not do it. Why be bothered by regret if she got hit by a bus during the off season.  All jersey retirements should be that way. No one has ever given a good reason as to why they shouldn't.

Are you rough ridin' serious guy? How could you be so ignorant about how Mike and his family feel about KSU and Manhattan? Jesus man, and shame on the rest of you for just letting this post pass without comment.

didn't Beas like K-State/MHK?  didn't he say he wanted to retire there?

Beas is a-OK in my book.

Him, rod, Jake, curt, etc.  Pretty common feeling amongst the elite.  Jamar said he wanted to come back and run for mayor.
