Worlds most expensive grouse, but was it ever delicious that night in camp! No elk had a bull sneak up on me to within six feet though no shot just his head peeking over a dead fall at me! Anyway lots of bear crap four twitter worshipping morons were attacked 120 miles south of us though. One got ripped up pretty good and the others were roughed up had bear spray and pistol never had to pull em thankfully.

It was the most grueling and hardest hunting I have ever done and for a first timer I can’t complain about any of it! The experience was first rate and since I am getting long in the tooth I only have so many years left to do something like this I will reapply and be back at it again next year. I’ll post some more pictures in the coming days. OnX map shot big belt mountains and Crazy’s this is where we were hunting .

We did learn that one of the gorges we were in did have a state wildlife trail camera monitoring wolves had Grizzly on it a month ago! That made us a little edgy but no probs there lots of moose too and frankly those things. Are more apt to run you over than a bear within thirty feet of two of em and they are huge you just back away and stay behind a tree! Lol

Most random animal on the planet! No patterns and if they ain’t bugle ing they ain’t easy to find! The bull that snuck in on me was virtually looking over a dead fall nose to nose with me. It was still an experience that 90% of bow hunters never experience he gets to live another day and I am ok with that I’ll look him up again next year if I can draw a tag!
