This past weekend Streb competed in the Wyndham Championship, finishing T18, banking $66,780 and earning 51 FedexCup points. He officially locked down his PGA Tour card for next year and qualified for the FedexCup playoffs which begin this week at the Barclays. After the Barclays the top 100 in the FedexCup move on to the Deutche Bank Championship, top 70 to the BMW Championship, then the top 30 advance to the Tour Championship and compete for the $10 million prize. Streb will need to make some moves the next couple of weeks to advance to the BMW and TC.
Aaron Watkins competed in the News Sentinel Open on the Web.com Tour shooting a final round 68 and finishing T6 banking $18,425. That was Watkins third top 20 in a row and now ranks 28th on the Web.com Tour's money list. He needs to finish in the top 25 to earn his PGA Tour card for next year and only has one more tournament left to move up. He is currently $22k short of the player in the 25th spot.
If he does not finish in the top 25 he will advance to the Web.com Tour Finals which consists of four tournaments, four weeks in a row. The top 50 players on the money list after the four tournaments will earn their tour cards for next year.
