He's currently the fifth alternate, possible, but I doubt there will be many WD's with how popular the tourney is.

Streb is about to tee off in the first round of the HP Byron Nelson Championship in Irving, TX. The purse is $6.9 mill, with the winner receiving $1.242 mill and 500 FedexCup points. His playing partners are Tag Ridings and Steve Flesch. John Daly is in the group ahead of him, so that's cool.

Streb is in the field this week at the Crowne Plaza Invitational, he tees off at 150 today. He currently sits at 78th on the FedexCup points list and has made $866,763 so far this season. He needs to keep climbing the FedexCup points list to advance to the Tour Championship.

He's currently on pace to make the Playoffs that starts with the Barclays (top 125 on the list), Deustche Bank (top 100), BMW (top 70), and the Tour Championship is the top 30 players on the FedexCup list, all trying to win that $10 million dollar prize.

Yes, the majority of the tourney's are worth 500 points to the winner. A win this week would get him into the top 20. If he keeps getting top 25's he'll be in striking distance when the playoffs begin.

I can see how the pressure gets to most golfers. Think about $1M being on the line and you are in the lead to take that home. Good God, that is awesome.

Streb shot 74 today, now tied for 37th at -2. That said, it's a tight field--he's only 5 strokes off the lead. Should be an interesting finish Sunday.
