Stan Weber Recap (810 Radio border patrol)
« on: March 01, 2013, 01:11:33 PM »
-Baylor is desperate.....how do you feel about Saturday?  Hardest question to answer.  You'd think there would be desperation....and motivation.  That (or KU) win would put them in tourney.  Have the talent.  Picked 2nd in league for a reason.  But, hard team to figure out.  If they are clicking on all cylinders, will be very tough to impossible.

-Jackson vs. Angel....can AR do it again?  Jackson had been so consistent that I doubt that can happen again.  PJ had been in double figures every game up to KSU game......and has since.  PJ will want to avenge for that game.  Will have chip on shoulder.

-Where can BU hurst K-State?  Isaih Auston.  He's big time.  Southwell took him out of the game in Manhattan.  Shot threes all night.  But, BU has big advantage on other end....and look for BU to exploit that on the offensive end and post Auston up against our smalls.

-Also, must keep Heslep in check.....because he can go nuts, especially at home.  They can cause so many problems because they have so many weapons.

-Any comments on Jevon?  No.  I don't follow recruiting.  I wouldn't have a clue.  But, I do know Weber recruits like no one I've ever seen.  Always gone on his day off.  So, I trust Weber thinks he can play.  We will be loaded with return players next year....so would take awhile anyway to blend in.....so not that big a deal about being a semester player.  Stan reiterated he's excited about what players they have coming back....and doesn't see Jevon being a big factor NEXT year.

-Moved on to Chiefs (said he liked Smith deal).......

-Jeno Smith or Alex Smith?  Tough call.  I don't know.  (for once, Stan seemed stumped).  Finally said Alex.

this segments of the goEMAW podcast have taken over the #1 spot which was long held by the Peggy Po/Nancy Neg but since that blogcaster left this is #1 but may have been #1 anyway not sure.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Is there a way to get the blogcast so I can listen to it on my walkman?  That's why I love this blog.

Why wouldn't we start Tay and put him on Heslip?  Keep him from ever touching the ball.  Even Omari might be better than Will.

steve dave is getting paid extra for transcribing these, right? I wouldn't want him to be doing all this work for free.

Well, he said he be blowin this topic up in depth with BITB later today and that he'd just give the BP guys a little teaser for time sake - then proceeded to ramble for a couple of minutes.

These are much much better than PP/NN's.  And that's really not based on content as much as I just hate the name PP/NN.  :fistpump:
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever
