I worked all day at work, church, and yard thinking I would come home and watch the game of the decadebetween KU an Badgers.  Dammit its on TBS or some rich boy satellite network.  Why not CBS - we give them the use of public airwaves.  I am tring to save money for a new car, kids school, a dinner for renosweets every now and then and for retirement.  Guess I will take out a loan, and read comments from our oscar Got Hooped group.

I derive great joy from not giving money to the cable company (rates have outpaced inflation pretty dramatically - monopolies gonna monopolize).  It's pretty awesome when bigtime sporting events are available in glorious HD with nothing but an antenna, guys (the Super Bowl and the first four rounds of the NCAA tourney, for example).  I plan to spend the money (+ investment returns) on sweatsuits, Werther's originals, applesauce, and BSFS expansion donations when I'm 80.

I've had cable for the last 15 months, hadn't had cable for almost a decade prior.  Its been interesting.  I figured i'd get dependent on it once I had it again, but after the Natty tonight I can guarantee I won't miss it until football season.  At which time I can watch it on the antennae, borrow someone's WatchESPN account, or go get pak'd at a bar watching it.
