I think it was BITB who talked about the Smart back flip before this game, and it really is totally obvious he was stoked about the win. If anything it should validate KU's need for exterior validation. Apparently the last time he did the flip was when his high school team won state, second Ford was running around hugging assistants yelling, reportedly, "my god we've done it", which if true, does show that OSU had little to no expectation to win.
To compare the two incidents shows the phog's complete and total lack of humility, understanding of sport, and sportsmanship. The dribble out is a sign of respect, and when unguarded, is the ultimate lay down by the opposition in a sign of showing submission to their betters. Petro was right, it is up to ISU to keep up the guard, but, if you are willing to violate the unwritten rules of the dribble out, don't get mad when the player is destroyed in the remaining seconds, don't get mad when they meet again and that player is targeted for removal from that game.
