kimcarnes proving to be the dumbass per usual...09-10 would beat this team by double digits without even breaking a sweat (love Shane and Angel but Denis and Jake and the transition D into O would run these guys out of the gym)

Well one way to answer your question would be to say that it is very hard to not get upset through the course of a season, so it's not very common to go 18-1 against lesser competition.
Another way would be to suggest that we are rated a little low in kenpom this year.
My opinion is that we have played nobody between #46 and #91 all year, which is where a lot of upsets have occurred in previous seasons (see 2011). If we played, say, 5 teams between #46 and #91, we might have picked up a few more losses.

I'd agree on Angel vs. Denis. Jake is like a plus infinity over Will (who is kind of like this team's Colon). It's not Rod vs. Dom, but Rod vs. Dom and freshman Rod. That gives the edge to 10. Shane vs. Curt. I'm not laughing, but I'm not buying either. Edge 10. JO edge over Luis, big when JO is allowed to play.
Bench, freshman irving < than senior Irving. JO was a slight factor as a freshman against true bigs. Other freshmen were non factors. 

Coaching, Martin > Weber. This was Frank's junkyard masterpiece, which was a thing of beauty when clicking (the Baylor and Okie State games in the Dr. Pepper).

Such a weird team.  Extremely low NCAA seed (kind of a sham if you ask me), great kenpom numbers.  Great wins, bad losses.
