We took a chance on him also.  He is an opposing coach who has a gross fat face, give him hell.

When the PA guy announces his name someone in the student section should hold up a sign that says "WHO'S HE?" and then the rest of the student section will year "WHO'S HE!?" really loud and stuff.

He won't know what hit him.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Comparing Huggins leaving to being raped....some of you have issues only intensive counseling will resolve.

If I remember the rumor correctly, Huggins had a clause in his contract that he could only leave for one program without incurring penalties...WVU.  How can you fault him for wanting to return to his home state?  It's not like he left your program in shambles.

As for making fun of his jumpsuit, I don't think he cares.  The powers that be at WVU tried to force him into wearing a suit...so he did.  The university decided to let him wear whatever he wanted.

Here's hoping the game is as close as the last one...although I think you all will have our number tonight.

it's weird that you really felt the need to come here and defend the raging alcoholic that you call your head coach.

He went back to WV to fit in alcoholics.  I'm not surprised they defend him.  It is sick though

Actually, I came here to see what you all thought about the game.  But there was so much butthurt going on that it distracted me.  For those who have gotten over him leaving, good for you, you all have a really good program enjoy it.  For those of you who haven't, you come of like jilted lovers, move on.

i think you're reading too much into what's been posted in this thread.  we got over bob leaving the very next season as we watched michael beasley mushing the entire world.  then we went to the elite eight, and all this other stuff.

Well, we're definitely pretty miserable this year.  That said Huggins is 120-56, with a Sweet 16 and Final 4 appearances in 5 years...I wouldn't call that a dumpster fire and we WVU fans KNOW dumpster fires.

I'm not really taking it too seriously.  As I said I really wanted to talk about the game.  It just struck me how many seem to still hold a grudge and I got distracted.

you guys act like booing and being angry at someone is some chore or something. it should be the default setting for all of our fans towards everyone ever. you have to earn not beeing boo'd, not the other way around.

CHECK <--- Bob Huggins

Agreed.  I say give him a standing O when he is announced, but then boo, taunt and heckle the eff out of him like we would anyone else.  He started the OOD (before moving to the land of poor, uneducated, alcoholic ex-miners) show him that we still have it.
:adios:

You know what's really more comparable to "rape"?

What our football team did to your cute little big east-like program last fall.

If someone rapes you and leaves you for dead and you don't die and end up leading a good life, you don't thank them for raping you and leaving you for dead when you see them.

This. He wanted Frank & Co. to follow him to Morgantown (including Greenawalt & all that)

LOL at all of the tucks that are going to give him a warm welcoming. Bob could've gave two sh1ts about us after he left

How dare a coach that leaves want his assistants to go with him  :shakesfist:

My take on Bob Huggins is I appreciate what he did for our program and know we wouldn't be where we are without him.  That said, I hope he loses a lot.

I doubt Walker would have returned and you know the rest of the recruiting class, especially Beasley, would've went elsewhere.

We would have been worse than the Wooldridge era that year. Huggins wanted to leave us out to dry...

shazbot! that fat alcoholic bastard

I'd pay big bucks to get hammered with Huggins.  He is both funny and clever.  I'll bet he could tell stories longer than I could drink.

I like the people who think that Huggins made a huge sacrifice for us. He took the K-State job because it was the only one available, and tried to take everything that is good about it with him on his way out. Why don't we stand up and cheer Lon everytime he comes into the OOD? Huggins should be treated like any former coach. Possibly worse because it's not like it was a tough decision for him to come here when the options are "coach at K-State" or "remain unemployed." He was going to run out of booze money eventually, and he knew it.
