I believe that the Big 12 only recognizes the big 12 tourney champion as the big 12 champion.

So we are playing for a 1 seed right now.

granted it is only Wikipedia but they seem to recognize both?

Cat game is on the Longhorn Network (Cox 272 if you're a Cox subscriber). Downside is listening to the Texas announcers, but at least it's televised. Cats and a few brews...evening is good.
