I was at 2 of the games last weekend. They have no one except nippleripple or however you say his name that can hit the ball out of the infield consistently. Pretty good pitching and OK defense (a little shaky at times), but terrible hitting. It really looks like they are being coached to try and walk. they don't swing unless it is belt high and just watch everything else go by. And the umping was terribly inconsistent. Both ways. Probably had no bearing on the game because it was so bad both ways.

I think our historical success pre Brad was even worse than our football ineptitude pre Bill. Coach Hill has got us to 4 NCAA tournaments, but winning league records in only three years. Agreed the trajectory once again is in the wrong direction.

For those of you that pay more attention than looking at a box score every now and then will know we are playing a lot of freshman this season. Were also bringing what is probably the best recruiting class in kstate history in. We have two pitchers that will likely compete to be weekend starters as freshman in Cole Duensing and Kasey Ford. Gunnar Halter, Will Brennan, and Tristan Peterson should also see significant playing time. The 2017 class is also looking top notch. Couple that with the freshman this year who played a lot. The future looks bright for K-State Baseball. We just have to deal with this season but the staff is working to improve the quality of Kstate baseball for the long term.
