Last year we basically lost our entire starting pitching staff to injury. It happens.

This year we were rebuilding on offense and had mild injury woes to the pitchers. I think we'll be pretty good next year and back in the ncaas.  The team got better as the year progressed.

Lol, at the notion of "finishing near the bottom".  There were 2 really good teams and the other seven were all bunched together.  We were as many games from third as we were from last.

We were rebuilding because the whole team was Hill'd. I find it hilarious that you consistently ignore this fact. Running off your team shouldn't buy you more leniency.

The Big 12 was absolute dog crap this year.

So, am I a bad fan because I don't like the fact that it's now two years in a row with not making the NCAA tourney and two straight bottom or near bottom Big 12 finishes?

Is it bad to have some expectations or should I just take the tucknation tact of just being happy to see K-State in a major conference?

You should probably be somewhere in between.

Take solace in the fact that the same retards who wanted Dayton and Ned fired last year are the same retards who want Brad fired this year.
What in the world?!

Booze Cat signee Willie Calhoun was drafted in the fourth round by the Dodgers.  Hate to lose him (probably), he lead the nation for junior colleges in home runs, really could have used that power in our lineup.

Respectfully? I assume a team that drafts a player respects that player.  :dunno:

Future Kansas State Pitcher was named best player in Arkansas.  I think the 220 is a little off, I believe he is closer to the 260-270 range.

Arkansas
K. Ford, Bentonville, 6-5, 220, Pitcher

A four-star quarterback prospect after leading Bentonville to a state championship as a sophomore, Ford is also the top baseball prospect in the state. The Kansas State commit also led Bentonville to a Class 7A baseball championship last year, earning MVP honors for the championship game.

Bump...

Season starts tomorrow with a four game series at UC-Riverside (horrible last year - 15-40; coach is former MLB all-star Troy Percival).

Also, UC-Riverside is the former home of legendary Athletic Director Jim Wooldridge. So, there's that.

Hi Kid In the Hall, did you know that UCR made a promotional Jim Woolridge baseball card a few years back?

So, the best football recruit signed to K-State was by Hill?
