While I readily admit, I don't watch or listen to every pitch, I do try and follow the games as much as I can, listen when I can etc. etc.
I don't expect a Dr. Pepper every year, but I did expect that after almost making the CWS that K-State baseball had elevated itself to being very much in the thick of things, almost every year. I don't think that's unreasonable in the least.
I guess it just goes back to more core belief that an athletic department that spends $70 million a year, while fielding the minimum number of sports to be a full time D1 school . . . should be consistently competitive and in contention for post season play across the board, at least in the sports that actually make money and the non-revenue sports that bring the most exposure and notoriety like baseball, volleyball, and women's basketball. There's also no reason why the remaining sports can't make some serious noise from time-to-time particularly track and XC.
