The Cats have 19 games left, and 12 of those are against teams that are at least 5 games below .500.

For now

TownieCat isn't sunshine pumping. This team could make a regional (Brad still needs ousted if we can find a better replacement).

If they could have something like a 12-7 or 13-6 finish plus a win in the B12 Tourney they'll be on the bubble. I'm not sure if RPI carries the same weight in baseball as it does in basketball, but the Cats are currently 57th. http://www.ncaa.com/rankings/baseball/d1/rpi

The starting pitching has been very good lately. Kalmus is turning into a stud.

Nubb is the only team left on the schedule, outside of potential Big XII tourney match-ups, with a better RPI than us.

The game tomorrow has been moved to 3pm because of possible rain later in the evening.

as the resident baseball expert, I have yet to decide on FSD's baseball related postings

I'm the expert you dweeb.  Anyone who wants Brad fired at this juncture is a short-sighted idiot without a brain or the patience for baseball. Those people are almost certainly fair weather, t-shirt fans, and they are awful and should not be permitted to participate in any discussion.

I'm in favor of dumping Brad, but I don't know who we would hire, so I'm really not.

Traject-O-Meter with a slight twinge towards the positive.

Quote
As we get this weekend’s Texas Tech series at Tointon Stadium underway, let’s first congratulate Coach Hill and our baseball team on not only a dramatic comeback walk-off win in extra innings over Wichita State on Tuesday night but also for last weekend’s series win over No. 2 TCU.  I am proud of our coaches, staff and student-athletes for continuing to work hard every day, and the progress being made has been fun to watch.  Let’s keep it going this weekend against the 19th-ranked Red Raiders!

I know the body of his letter this week about basketball is getting the most play, but this was opening paragraph from AD John Currie this week.

A great opportunity today to get on the right side of .500. Hopefully the weather clears up.

Looks like another dip in the Traject-O-Meter

It's gonna be a salty battle to stay out of last place.

Sad, but probably true. Cats are 5-10 in conference and have 9 conference games left: 3 games here against Oklahoma (10-5 in conference), 3 against Baylor at their place (4-9 in conference), and 3 against KU in Lawrence (4-8 in conference).

He's probably already outlined an email for this baseball season about the state of college baseball, etc.
