Dammit

The 3 error inning was absolutely disgusting to watch.  We seemed to hit everything right at them until the 9th.

Guess who is not surprised a Brad Hill team is swinging at every piece of crap the pitcher throws.

The double fly-over was effin weird

Poorly timed imo.

On the game: two stud pitchers dueling. Two great plays by KU RF Afenir won them the game imo.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Poor base running lost us that game. I'm not sure if the blame for that eff up lies with Coach Clem or with Carter.

All joking aside, that's a Brad Hill thing.  Errors, horrid base running and awful plate discipline.  Last year was really the anomaly.

I'm not sure how to accurately describe the emotion I felt after the three error inning yesterday.

I wasn't really keen on sac bunting Conlon with no outs in the bottom of the eighth, especially with Kivett on first. He was 9-9 on steal attempts at that point and you have the meat of the order coming up against a pitcher who was getting up in pitch count. That was before the pop out on the bunt from Conlon. Of course, Kivett eventually did steal with two outs, but by then the damage had been done.

I get that it is pretty basic old-school small ball at that point in the game. Down 2-1 late, etc. etc., but I just don't like the idea of giving away an out there especially with the team's best hitters waiting in the wings.

Their best hitter was on first base.   And I would always give up an out to move Kivett into scoring position in that circumstance.   They're trying to avoid an inning killing DP.   Guessing they didn't trust the batter enough for a hit and run.
