Is that a frickin combine on the street by the stadium in Google Maps???

Man, this thread is great; who would of thought that Google would have an aerial photo of a combine cruising down Kimball.  Very KSTATE0!

A combine going down the road in Kansas, the largest wheat growing region in our hemisphere. And to think it's driving just north of the University that plays a major role in maintaining this status via research, education, and production consulting.

Man guys, that is K-State0

Couple of observations...

1.  Why so many offices?  What the eff do rowing people need offices for?  Watching rowing film?

2.  Only four showers?

Dax, can you explain why we're using this architecture firm?  Their sports portfolio consists of 5 YMCAs and 2-3 highschool football stadiums.  I understand wanting to save some money, but if we're building an athletics campus, don't we want some sort of continuity of design?  this building appears to be bland and boring, like most of our campus buildings designed in the 50s and 60s.

 :dunno:

Note-Nothing coming out of the athletic department on this, besides mentioning it on the Capital Projects page of the Ahearn Fund.   Bid was put out by the KSU Foundation.
