We did not play our best. KU played okay

but they still have a long way to go before this thing is over.

We just re-learned what we already knew from earlier this season: We will get railed against teams with superior talent and motivation. We should still be able to beat teams of lesser talent which is about 80% of all teams and we will win about half the games against similarly talented and motivated teams ie. Baylor, OSU, ISU. If we get a 3-4 seed and a gimme bracket we could make the elite eight.

No, we don't suck. We just suck against KU. Its almost as if there's - gasp - something more at work here than just a talent gap. Maybe something mental. Come in the higher ranked team, choke, and get rolled.

Didn't we lose to KU three times the season we went to the Elite 8? It's an embarrassing reality how the domination is self perpetuating, but I don't see much to be done.

Really funny thing is that I bet KU loses two more conference games. They don't have any more guaranteed wins against us, for starters.

This is a good K-State team.

Last night was very disappointing, but I put no stock into that game having any impact on the rest of the season. Going to Allen Field House and letting KU run an offensive clinic is pretty much what we do.

Go 2-0 next Saturday/Monday and we're all feeling fine again. And we will.

Yeah, I'm really not sure where this comes from.

The whole "KU is in our heads and makes us look ridiculous and soft every year in Lawrence" thing aside, K-State is still one of the best shooting teams in the league. 38.9% on 3s (1st Big 12) and 48.2% on 2s (2nd in the Big 12) in 11 games is significant. Plus best in the league at not turning over the ball.

The thing that has to be better is defense. We're giving up over 1.0 PPP and allowing teams to shoot nearly 50%. Those are problems.

If a team tied for 1st in the big xii sucks, then yeah we suck but by that logic KU sucks too. Lets enjoy the times and the fact that if we get on a roll and become the :chainsaw:we ran into last night we can be the best team that sucks in the conference! Any anger towards this game or this team is 3 weeks late. KU played bad (relatively speaking) in Bramlage and we still let them win. Losing in Lawrence? meh.

This team has, at least as we stand now, avoided a bad loss. IMO, it's a good team. Not great, not a very good team, just a good team. We still probably have atleast 2 more losses coming. We were never going to win the conference.
