Saw a squawk at work today...
« on: February 11, 2013, 10:45:38 AM »
I wished him luck for the game. He gave me a big sigh and continued to walk away with his head down. I asked him what was wrong and how I could help? He just replied back: "I'm nervous for the game tonight, I don't think I could take a 4th loss in a row." I quickly consoled him and reminded him "it's just a game, bud. By the end of the day, we'll still be best buds." He said thanks and quickly glanced at my lunch bag, "what's for lunch" said the KU fan. I told him it was leftovers from capitol grill. It was then I noticed, he had no lunch, so I offered to split it with him and he quickly gave me a hug for my gracious offer. No matter what internet buds, remember to TSC today.  :tsc:

I have been burned by that bridge before, particularly on the gameday.  I'm just on edge about these things.

Just got home for lunch and made small talk with the mailman. He saw my KSU flag and mentioned he went to KU for a bit and is a HUGE fan. I said good luck tonight then went inside and called 911 and told them some guy dressed as a mailman was trying to break into houses on my street! HA, EMAW!
