Stan was also really high on Steve Kragthorpe* to be our next head football coach. So, ya know.

*Ron Prince won 2 more games in his tenure than ol Kraggsy did.

Initially I was very meh on the Weber hire and I still have a foot in the team burnitdown camp.  However, the way this team is playing now, it appears that maybe the guy is a pretty good coach. Maybe part of his problems in Ill. was that he can't handle/coach top level/prima-donna kids like Self/Calipari/Boehiem/Coach K/Roy/etc can.  Think about it.  At a mid-major, he was successful.  With Bill's kids that were schooled in the ways of Bill, he took them to a final 4.  Then with top tier talent he was able to bring into Champagne, he wasn't able to get them to play the way they needed to and he struggled.  He comes to KSU with kids schooled in the ways of Frank, when they started to grasp his system, wala, they start to play pretty well.

Long story short, maybe he is coach that can be more successful with the DITR/4 yr/3 star guys than the one & done/5 star guys.
Kinda like, dare I say it........ :bill:

I hope you are right, because I want K-State Brucesketball to succeed, but be prepared for #burnitdown to rip your theory.

My theory is that he is only a figure head and Chet does the actual coaching.

oscar is a weirdy with a horrible high pitched voice but as long as he continues to win I will accept him just like I accepted the insane and violent Cuban who coached before him

I hated the oscar hire, and nothing will change my mind on that front until years 4-5. If it's obvious that he still has it rolling at that point, then I'll call it a good hire. I love that we're in the thick of a conference race in the meantime, and I'll still cheer for oscar even though his shapeless face is always barfing out chicken nuggets-slathered nonsense.

I find oscar's socially awkward tendencies to be endearing.

But I think it's because I'm socially awkward, too.

I kinda think our record is more a product of playing in a shitty league than good coaching, but I have LLLLBBIQ.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.
