Thanks for the tips. There’s a Hilton there for $140 a night with a rooftop pool/bar that overlooks the Bay. I’m sure Napa will rape us and we’ll barely be at the hotel on that Sunday, so I think we’ll probably go that route. 10 minute Uber drive to the Chiefs bar.

worth noting that the Richmond has the reputation of having all the Chinese restaurants that Chinese folks eat at instead of Chinatown. Go get some good food while you're out there!

definitely homeless everywhere was a big part.  plus ugly rundown buildings, poor maintenance of public and private buildings and lands, non-functional/poorly functioning public transit, traffic and at the same time everything was super expensive.

like how the eff can everything cost a million dollars but there's no money to pick up trash, clean a bathroom or staff a bart/amtrak office?  it's inexplicable.

just seemed like really shitty places to live.

SF is a very weird place! I think there are parts where it would definitely be worth the money and parts where it would not. But that's probably been the case there since the 60's
