I have seen roughly a billion people share dozens of articles about this dive bar maybe being torn down and replaced by condos

Great invention alert: life-like pile of synthetic human sidewalk feces you can deposit on your bike seat to repel theft.

Murder may be a bit too much. I was a tad drunk when I made the discovery. They also took my headlight, and I'm not happy about it.

Kind of a weird thing to steal, unless it was some fancy after market bike seat with nice padding or something.

bicycle thieves probably steal quite a few bikes without seats.  also people that have lost their bicycle seat may need to buy one cheap.

It's fairly common. Mine wasn't particularly nice, though.]

Hmmm, that sort of makes sense.  Guess I should have tried to get in the mind of a thief to see the value in stealing a seat.

after watching people walk around carrying bike seats so they don't get stolen I have wondered why they don't swap out the adjustable clamp with tamperproof hardware, I doubt many commuters change their seat height much.

yeah, I'm definitely going to be using a regular screw from now on.

And what sucks is it got stolen in a place that I would normally never park but I was running late and would have missed my train if I had parked it in my normal spot and I actually wasn't running late because I misread the email about when I was supposed to arrive. :frown:
