I think she's sincere but she's still putting on a show. I mean who says "fin" to end a speech????

probably more than half of the people i interact with on a regular basis use a greeting or parting word from a language other than their native tongue at least semi-frequently.

obviously she's writing for an audience.  twitter isn't a diary.
I end most convos with “hasta la vista, baby!”

Oooooh, that's a good one.  I am going to switch to that.  I've been using "I'll see you in hell," but have received some mixed feedback on that.

Tenderloin has always been like that, it's legitimately the craziest neighborhood in America

Hopefully, this is more just a case of trying too hard at dating than general insufferability. But still, geez.

san francisco is basically an experiment in how much abuse a city can withstand without killing it.

Article was paywalled but saw a different perspective on this today

Like, a vent hood seems like a good idea for a restaurant?

That said, I played basketball with quite a few construction guys whose pitch was basically "we know how to deal with the red tape here".

Is that really necessary in order for a single employee to make ramen noodles? I'm not surprised by your take, but I did spend a significant amount of time in S.F. this summer, and it was sad to see the number of boarded up businesses in prime locations.

Edit: also, the article is not paywalled, unless someone signed me up for sfchronicle without my knowledge or consent.

Probably yeah. Why wouldn't you? There's meat and shitloads of steam and you could get some nasty walls without one. I think they also needed multiple sinks. Was kind of crazy they would spend that much money to serve 10 people three nights a week, too.

Also prime vacant storefronts aren't necessarily a SF red tape thing, you'd see them all over the bay in good retail spots.

I have a commercial kitchen in my basement.  The sinks, plumbing, and other requirements are no joke even in a much more business friendly place.

Do you make anything you sell, and if so, what is it?
