My 10 year reunion was actually kind of fun. It was before Facebook so there were several bros I hadn't seen since graduation. We all got smashed. My 20 year was a bit boring.

Reunions are fun to drop into for about an hour or so. Go say hi to find people you haven't talked to in a while, make them all jealous that you are attractive and single still, then tell them you've got stuff to do and head out. Maybe take a still-single high school crush with you or tell her to meet you out later.

that implies that you still in live in your hometown or very, very close. which is fine, but will be tough to "make them all jealous" of anything

I've only been to my 5 year, but this strategy worked out well. I did not RSVP. Just showed up, got a lot of, "I didn't know you were coming! How have you been?!" Listened to a few of them talk about their kids. Pulled out some fanningbrags. Got a couple numbers and headed out.

My town does an all class reunion every 5 years. So, like, every 5 years the population of Meade, KS triples for a weekend. Various classes congregate at different locations and then get together for a hick FPD style party. Pretty great.

Our school started doing this as well.  Didn't make the last one.  Will probably try to hit up the next one.

Skipped my 5 year but went to my 10 year last year. It was fun to see how fat and ugly everyone else had become.
