My ISU boss refers to our players as "thugs," but if that's not enough he goes on to call them "black thugs." I think Iowa people really like that term.

Can you paint a better picture here?  Right now, I'm just picturing a stereotypical business setting that features a manager somehow using the term "black thugs" at the office.

Probably hard to get much done around the office when you're spending all your time searching for flannel.
Ironically at John Deere, where's flannel in an office with Carhart pants. 60 years old. Definitely not the kind of manager you would see at gE's headquarters.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Just wait till baseball season!

"ISU, where we were so bad at baseball, we quit!"

one of the ISU fans I watched the game with blamed title IX for them not having a baseball team, I pointed out to them that they have wrestling & women's gymnastics, swimming & diving, and tennis

I do recall (looked it up to be sure) in their last year of baseball 2001 they made the Big XII tournament ahead of KSU, KU, and MU.  They then won a game as the 8 seed.  oscar Van De Velde was the AD at ISU when they dropped baseball.  He did a stint in Manhattan in the early 90's as an associate AD.

Did we know about U of Iowa making allegations that thefts occurred in Ames in 2013?

Quote
K-State is the new Nebraska
Football Record versus KSU 1990 - 2013: 4-20 or 16% winning percentage.

All time record vs. Nebraska: 17-86-2 or 17% winning percentage.

Nebraska is gone from conference play. KSU is the new Nebraska.

Now unlike Nebraska, they're also beating the basketball team...so when and which team in what year is going to change that?

And no, Synder retiring does not count. That's like Nebraska post - Tom Osborne. There's hope there, but still...how is KSU consistently been better than ISU with a Nebraska like dominance?

Mark Mangino at KU vs. KSU had a better winning percentage - does he turn it around for ISU over the next two years in FB?

What about BB?

FB stats are from http://cfbdatawarehouse.com/data/div_ia_team_index.php

I'll ask Havsy.

oscar Vandevelde should be banned from ever setting foot in Ames again.

Highlights:
1. Forced Eustachy to resign
2. Cut Baseball
3. Never upgraded a single facility (Despite best football season ever; Back-to-Back Big 12 Basketball Championships Outright; Elite 8 Run)
4. Hired Wayne Morgan
5. Left ISU Athletics having an operating budget of barely $26mil. ($58mil-ish today)

The margin for error isn't exactly large at our schools, well, he made errors with everything he touched. He put ISU back 20 years athletically, and its not like ISU was exactly on par with the rest of the league already.

I have no idea what the hell this means but Georges Niang said this today to a few reporters after practice, when asked about our physical play, the media here thinks we are really physical, seriously
