Iowa State will win out at home and lose out on the road. @Texas is a tossup.

IMHO KU loss possibilities:

1) @OSU
2) @ISU
3) KSU
4) @OU
5) @BU

I'd switch OSU and ISU.

I stand corrected.

We have a really great shot at winning the most games we've ever won in Big 12, which isn't saying much since we have two more games to play, but we have a somewhat decent shot at having the best Big 12 winning % we've ever had.

Best winning % means getting to 13 wins.  To do that we have to win all of our remaining home games, and pick up two road wins.  Tech and UT would do it.

Doable, but it means not dropping any of our "should have" games.  A loss this week would make it really difficult to get there.

I think we have just as good of shot as winning one of the games we shouldn't win as we do dropping one of the games we shouldn't drop. @BU and @OSU aren't impossible by any means.

Why not just wait until after all the games in the season and then decide?

So of the 5 teams that are trying to get the 2 seed ..... here is 1 way to look at it right now.
1) If you beat KU or if you get a road win vs one of those 5 teams (ksu, osu, isu, ou, bu) then you get a +1
2) If you lose a home game to any of the 5 teams, you get a -1
3) If you lose to Tcu, Tech, WV or Texas,  you get a -1

So right now =
Kstate is +1 ( road win at OU)
Ok St +1 (win vs Ku)
OU 0 (win at baylor, home loss to ksu)
Isu -1 (loss at Tech)
Bay -1 (home loss vs OU)

Playing at Tcu and at Tech are not tough games, but winning at WV and at Texas could be more tricky.
Interesting thing is of the 5 teams, only Kstate and Ou has played at WV (both got wins)
None of he 5 teams has played at Texas yet

KU is a missed Cory Lucious Ft from being squarely in the 2nd place heap. Can we stop saying they're walking away with the conf.

Why play for first when you can hope that a bunch of people lose and you can backdoor into second? If PP is going to continually post these over thinking scenarios I'm going to continually reply by how silly it is. We aren't even halfway through conference play yet, its the first week of February and we're a game out. The most simple scenario is this, win all of the games and you win the conference and get a #1 seed, the end.

Who said anything about backdooring our way into 2nd.  I would love to get 1st  but I am realist too.  Don't see us  winning in AFH. If we do, then i will at least ponder the thought of having a shot at 1st.

I like our chances right now for 13 wins.  No guarentee that gets us 2nd, but its a pretty decent shot.

If u think we can get 15 wins and KU gets 14.  Or hope we win every game and get a 1 seed. Cool, more power to you.

If we finish with the same record as KU, and our two records are the best in the Big 12, then we're calling it a championship.
