I went to the highest-priced law school in the country at the time (might still be) instead of taking a scholarship to KU Law.  Sometimes I regret the debt.  Usually I'm happy with my choice.  I've had a very interesting and rewarding career with many open doors.

my buddy went to george washington and I think I remember him telling me that g-dub and georgetown were the two highest priced.  could be wrong on that.

I'm sure it changes depending on the year.

JFC, what does it matter bros?  I only bring it up in the context of giving law school advice here.

But I already outed myself in the conference armaggedon thread:

OK, trying to think outside the box.  My beloved NYU Violets' conference, the Nerdy Nine, is currently one member short (only eight nerds).  The conference is already in Missouri, so no geographic worries.  Roadies to NYC, Chicago, Pittsburgh?  Rubbing elbows with NYU alumns like the Olsen twins and Lady Gaga?  Pretty sexy!

P.S. I went to law school with Demetri Martin.  He dropped out, and he's the one that's successful.  Go figure.

I like to know where people went so I know exactly how inadequate I should feel.  Thanks, GOSP and sys.  Anyone else want to share the identity of their elite alma mater?

Kc law firms don't hire ku or MU grads over Yale grads, they hire them over umkc grads.

There isn't a single attorney in kc who is considered the best in the world at what they do.

HHR stocked their office with kc area lawyers because NY lawyers would not move here to make 200 % less.

I have to debunk some of this jazz

I am currently in the state of mind that I was when I started this thread and replied, then the next day I read a few of the new posts and it made me sad. I went full beems style and stopped reading (though he may still read but not post, :dunno:). I know and yes I opened myself up for it. It isn't hard to read my self view by my posts, so kudos for doing that. Most people say they don't care, but I do. It doesn't impact my day to day life, but yes it still sucks to read people disparaging oneself.

For those with solid advice in the first few pages, thank you. I appreciate it. For those that saw through my arrogance and saw my vulnerability and insecurity,
