I loved the Reebok K-State Silvers.

With the god awful fabric?  They always came off looking bronze to me.  We've had some god awful uniforms, though I still wish we had lavender alternates.  Maybe we're just getting old though.  Also, seems odd to do throw-backs to a time you sucked when you are now decent.

Texas is probably the best. I also don't mind SC. Most are just really average/boring and/or are heavy on the letters. Because like I said you're using cartoon animals to represent a sports team. It will always be pretty silly.

Good choices. And I agree about the silliness, but you have to look at logos within that context. There are "cartoon" logos that are good (Texas, SC, Seton Hall, Penn St. imo) and others that are bad (Iowa, K-State, Mizzou...).

Illustrations, maybe? Happy Willie with flag is a cartoon logo, to me, but the powercat isn't.  I like cartoon Willie on vintage-like clothing. I also think the powercat is just fine, but would be open to other suggestions.
