How is this political? Is it a BLM reference or something? Because I have definitely been thinking about how difficult it would be for the families of the others.

It’s either a MAGA BLM thing or some other contrarian. Everyone knows it would suck to lose a family member like that. For most people the crash is only big news because they feel like they know Kobe, not because they care about b-ball or think Kobe’s life was more valuable.

I heard the news in an airport bar on my way back from a funeral, and for some reason I was struck by the fact that the lives of the unknown others were just an afterthought. Of course, I understand why that's the case. But it still struck me.

I don't know if it's political or not. The only people posting stuff like this on my facebook feed are the people who pretty much solely post maga propaganda memes, though, so I'm assuming it's a BLM thing.

It's clearly a lie though because the creator of this meme didn't even bother to take the time to look up the names of "the helicopter pilot , and the other passengers".  There's no way their lives mattered just as much to the meme guy, the only thing that actually matters to him/her is being a pissy contrarian.

The ones that the most people know about. I think it’s ok to publicly mourn people that we as a public know. And privately mourn people we privately know. Expecting either to be done the other way or being upset about how they are done seems silly to me.

I agree completely.  All I'm saying is ppl are only announced as a number dead if not a celebrity.  As an example, when they announced at the Grammy's that Koby Bryant died in a helicopter accident not one word said about the others that died, except for his daughter.  I and, I'm sure, quite a few others were not even aware of the other deaths.  Several other sources only mentioned Koby and his daughter died.

I noticed this too, and then was struck by the wall to wall coverage the rest of the day.  I suppose its mostly about age, if he was 61 and 25 years removed from his playing career it might have been more normal.
it’s not like I’m tired of WINNING, but dude, let me catch my breath.

Did anyone hear the pilot's name.  Seems like the are checking his skills, since they hit a mountain at 20 ft. below the top.
They are trying to make him a villain, instead of showing any kind of remorse for him and the others.

I agree. It's like Dijon Gordon stealing the ball down 22 with 5 seconds left. Sure, maybe he shouldn't have done it, but the mountain also shouldn't have been so mean.

Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

Poor Alison, she had no idea the tumult she’d cause amongst the various factions of peak first world problems.

I have only heard about this thing from Dax posts here. Is she cancelled? Did we cancel her with our culture of doing that?

You should watch the video, it actually is pretty funny.

Not if you’re her cause of cancel life but as an unbiased third party observer it’s pretty lol.

The king of monitoring (and reporting) every fringe element which compromises in most cases .000000001% of the population is now telling me that I “really care” about something that (keeps popping up in my feed).

I mean would you just look at that.

Alison’s original Tweet has been retweeted a quarter of a million times.  Clearly no one cares #frown.
