i don't think i properly appreciated how insane sanders supporters were.

Compared to? This isn't Carly Fiorina we're talking about here. This guy raised millions of dollars on the premise of being an alternative to the status quo to the sorry state of presidential politics in this country. He stayed in the race until just a few weeks before the convention then all of a sudden he's like "just kidding guys, I'm tired good with the political machine, sorry about being a bother." People should have a problem with Bernie, a revolutionary who just jumped on board with the machine so the dnc can help him out.

Translation:  Willing to sell out just so Dems (who are going to nominate a racist Neo-Con) can maintain power.

he stayed in the race until he was defeated (actually long past), then he quit.  like a sane person.

People aren't pissed that he quit and you know that.

he ran as a democrat.  if he wanted to spark a revolution instead of participate in an established party he had the opportunity to do something else.

endorsing the winning candidate is not only an expected part of being in a party, in my view, given the republican candidate this year, not doing so would be a stunning show of selfish egoism.

Absolutely fair but the fact remains that a Hillary endorsement runs counter to what he told all of those people to raise all of that money. There are certain times when a loser in the primary endorses the winning candidate, this isn't one of those times, these two are pretty far apart when it comes to party politics. The republican candidates who are politically opposed to Trump aren't endorsing him. I will say also as someone who attended a caucus and two party conventions in a battleground state, that this cycle has been vicious and many Sanders supporters feel marginalized by the party and the Clinton machine. I get that his endorsement was meant to heal the party but I really don't think the endorsement will help with that.

This was 100% a bargain to endorse for the promise to press for a few things Bernie wants done.

Bernie was about to get many of his stances on to the party platform in exchange for an endorsement which is a pretty good step for Berners

But that's none of my business

To me, an endorsement at this point is really a "hey you should vote for Hillary over Trump."  So, not a big deal.

He should absolutely campaign for her vigorously if he doesn't want Trump to be elected. This isn't about principles.

As the leader of the faith militant, Bernie had an obligation to hold to his princiles. His sparrows should be outraged and distressed at his wholesale sellout.
