Everything about oscar's system is a cancer

to good basketball we've come to love.

Rebounding
Getting to the line
Isolating best players to make plays
Coaching to win games within a possession with a few seconds left

Guys, I don't think our players like playing for him. Specifically Angel, Gipson, Diaz, Nino and JO

disagree

also he would have attempted to close the gap with a couple minutes left instead of 30 seconds.  That may have caused a few games to end their score with a wider gap, but we had a better chance of winning those games in the grand scheme of things.  Better to make your push with time on the clock and lose rather than this crap we've done twice.

My hatred for Weber takes some of the edge out of losing. Some.

Gots or even Undies would have been able to take this team and win at Ames.

Do you remember non-con Nino? He's a player just in a funk right now

Conf stats=
our eFG% is 52.9
our 3pt FG% is 37.5
our asst/TO is 1.51

plenty of things good with this team.   Our 2nd half today was just garbage.

Angel's play makes or breaks the team, would have been fine to end the list after him.

I like the way oscar has used Shane. So that's not really a cancer.

3 of those games, Frank was amazing in close games

I'd also love to know who oscar should be isolating other than Angel

and he still needed to make tough guarded shots in those instances. Shane's development has been great, I don't think he would be any better at Rodney at being ISOed though. It would have been great if oscar would anticipated this summer that he would use Shane this way so he could have gotten more work backing guys down. I think his foot work would be great doing that on occasion.

but he's usually going to be going against someone he should be able to do something with, at least this year.  he'll either have a big on him or whatever perimeter defender is left over after they match up better defenders on mcgruder and art.

At least 2 of Shane's isos came when ISU switched and he ended up with a guard on him, so he backed him down and shot over him.

he took one back down dribble, spun off the smaller guy and took elbow jumpers. I'm talking about backing someone into the block, not too worried about it though, I'm sure they'll work on it this summer as his role was adjusted just a month ago.
